Does KCP supply fuel for cooking?
Yes and No! We have recently installed a double camping stove and grill which we have provided gas free of charge. For all other cooking equipment, which includes: BBQ, single gas stove, pizza oven and fire pit, fuel is an added cost. Please let us know by 11am that day if you wish for fuel to be delivered to your pod.
Cost of fuel:
Bag of logs (fire pit) £5
Kindling (fire pit) £3
Bag of Charcoal (BBQ and Pizza Oven) £5
Do you have a fridge on site?
No. We do provide a box (per pod) on a shelf in the summerhouse where you can store food.
We think we maybe lost going up a farm lane, can you help with directions?
Keep going up the lane!! You’re not lost, the farm lane is longer than you think! After you pass the triangle of green you drive up a farm lane, passing many farm gate entrances into different fields and maybe a horse or two! This will take approx 3 minutes. The lane finishes when you can turn left or right, at this point you will see a sign saying ‘KCP’ pointing right, turn right and its a very short drive of 1 minute, taking you to the entrance of the site.
Do you provide cooking utensils?
Yes. We provide (per pod, in your pods own cooking utensils box, located in the summerhouse) two: plates, bowls, plastic wine goblets, mugs, forks, knifes, dessert spoons, tea spoons and one: wine/bottle opener, wooden spatula, sharp knife, chopping board, kettle, small saucepan, small frying pan and a tea towel.
Where do you recommend to eat and drink?
This depends on what you fancy and which town! The best idea is to do an internet search. Marazion, Penzance, Hayle, St Ives, Gwithian, Lelant are all easily accessible from KCP.
Do you provide towels?
No. We provide ben linen for your stay and two blankets. We have provided a washing line with pegs for you to hang your towels on to dry, if you so wish.
Can I cook on my pods decking?
No. We please ask that all cooking stays within the ‘Cooking Area’, this being within the old stone and wooden wall that surrounds the Summerhouse, for yours and others safety. We have provided a timetable in the Summerhouse for guests to write down when they expect to be cooking, to encourage social distancing following Covid 19
Can I move the fire pit out of the ‘Cooking Area’?
No. This is due to the cooking area being gravelled and for safety reasons cannot be moved onto flammable terrain! Additionally, it is communal amenity.
Can I please put a table and chairs in the pod?
No. We ask that you keep these outside as they may cause damage to the pods floors. You can easily make your double bed into a sofa (instructions inside your pod) and we provide a big linen bag for you to put the duvet and pillows, to tidy them away, if you do wish to do this.
Can I get a taxi to and from KCP?
Yes. Many guests have missed the last public transport home(!) and have had no trouble getting a taxi home!
